In January 2022, Triple Solar transferred production of its PVT solar panels and solar connector to Emmen's Technologies Add in Energy. As such, the current Triple Solar production facility is located in the first smart factory in the Netherlands. In addition to technology, like-minded companies can produce together under one roof. It works as if it had its own factory, but is organised as a shared facility thanks to the unique, flexible assembly concept. Technology Addition is the official field laboratory on the national smart industry agenda. Emen's smart factory is ISO 9001 and Solar Keymark certified.
According to Triple Solar founder and CEO Cees Mager, the Technology Addition is completely in line with the strong growth Triple Solar is experiencing: "Triple Solar's old production site is too tiny for the PVT panels that are now over 20,000 square meters per year. And that number is growing every month. As these numbers grow, now is the right time to choose high-tech automation and robotization in our production processes.
Mager continued, "By generating and analyzing data more intelligently, we minimize the waste of raw materials. In addition, robots provide speed and quality. In this way, we can make the production process faster, more affordable and more sustainable. Triple Solar produces its own PVT solar panels for the plant's existing and new buildings. The recently launched current heat pumps are made in collaboration with Metrotherm and come from Denmark.
